Water Damage in Unfinished Basement in Lexington, MA

SERVPRO responded to an emergency after hours water damage in an occupied single family residence built in 1981 in which the cause of loss was a hot water heater. The water affected the lower drywall walls, concrete flooring, vinyl flooring, and contents in the family room and storage rooms. 

SERVPRO extracted the standing water, the homeowner did not want SERVPRO to throw out any affected contents so we manipulated contents, applied a botanical anti-microbial to all affected building materials, and proceeded to dry the structure using LGR dehumidification and axial air movers and monitored daily. Once all affected building materials reached a dry standard the drying equipment was removed and the flooring was cleaned.
