Traveling Water in Lexington
SERVPRO responded to an after hours emergency water damage in an occupied single family residence built in 1975 in which the cause of loss was the kitchen sink pipe leak on the main level. The water affected the hardwood flooring in the kitchen then traveled down into the basement affecting the ceiling, walls, and flooring of the storage room, and then flowed into the laundry room, hallway, and furnace room. The hardwood flooring in the kitchen was saturated.
SERVPRO then extracted the Category 2 water using Injecti-Dry System with rescue mats in the kitchen, applied a botanical anti-microbial to all affected building materials, installed an Injecti-Dry System in the kitchen to salvage the saturated hardwood flooring, and proceeded to dry the structure using LGR dehumidification and axial air movers for evaporation, monitored daily.
From the first phone call the customer expressed her concerns but by the end of the job was delighted to have our Franchise Professionals make her home hers again.
