Mold in Attic of Lexington Home
SERVPRO inspected an occupied single family residence built in 1970 for visible microbial growth in the attic. Upon inspection SERVPRO discovered visible microbial growth on the ceiling joist and rafters of the attic. The homeowners said they thought the loss occurred due to condensation from the air conditioning unit.
SERVPRO remediated the microbial growth and installed a 500 CFM HEPA (Air Filtration Device) to collect microbial spores, dust, airborne particles and bacteria. Midway through the remediation our Crew Chief noticed a leak in the roof which had to be addressed before we could finish the job for fear that it would re-affect the area. A mold remediation solution was applied to all affected building material.
