Ice Damming in Lexington, MA Home Cause Water Damage
This Lexington, MA home suffered from water damage due to ice damming from a few months before. An ice dam is a ridge of ice that forms at the edge of a roof and prevents melting snow from draining off the roof, which eventually causes water damage. The dam backs the water up and eventually causes it to leak into the home causing water damage to walls, ceilings, insulation, etc. Once SERVPRO received authorization our crew was able to extract the water and begin the drying process. Unfortunately, this area was unable to be restored and was a total loss due to the water damage.
