SERVPRO inspected a closet for visible microbial growth. The mold affected the lower walls, carpet, and carpet pad in the closet. SERVPRO received approval to install a 500 CFM HEPA filtered AFD, remove and discard affected drywall, carpet and pad, vacuum, clean, apply a botanical anti-microbial and mold remediation solution, and pressure clean the concrete subfloor. Services were scheduled to begin January 31.
When SERVPRO uses Air Filtration Devices, this piece of equipment creates a negative pressure zone while HEPA filtering the air of all airborne bacteria, particulates and mold spores. SERVPRO then removed and discarded affected drywall, HEPA vacuumed the affected wood framing, applied a mold remediation solution, removed and discarded affected carpet and padding, applied a botanical anti-microbial to all affected building materials, and pressure steam cleaned the concrete subfloor.
